Beauty Revolution attended its first tweetup event. Not only was it a tweetup event, but a trickortweetup event where we dressed up and saw lady gaga, a robot, and a peacock, oh my! It was nice meeting the faces behind different social networking groups (blogs, twitter, etc.) while supporting a wonderful cause. Among all the fairy-tale and goblin characters, we saw a ton of people sprouting mustaches thanks to Century Novelty, fighting pediatric cancer one stache at a time, www.mustachesvscancer.org.

Delicious foods were spread out, the music choices just right, the raffle simply divine and the drinks, supplied by two vendors were uniquely different. Elemental Vodka introduced us to their high-quality organic spirits manufactured by sustainable production practices, and Pike Brewery, with assortments of delicious beers, including their signature “pumpkin pie” in a bottle- yum!

Bellevue, WA Fashion Week '09

Bellevue Fashion Week is already here and starts tonight! Fashion Week runs through October 4th. There are many well-known designers showing off their fall collections throughout the week, including Vogue's “Front Row Fashion Runway Show” produced by Vogue Magazine using fashion from The Bellevue Collection. The Director of Merchandising for Vogue will be there with you at the event to share what you need for fall. To view more and which event you want to attend. We have a link below. Wrapping up..

Our team is quite the team! We have been through three photo shoots in the last month and a half. And I can say we are still in one piece! Quite the experience and what great models we had onboard. Our shoots were very successful. I would be bragging, but okay we had some AMAZING pieces at every shoot. Who doesn't like to get dressed up in Prada, Givenchy, or Oscar de la Renta? What a plethora of choices we had! What an experience to handle these garments and observe the detail that went into every stitch, it was fantastic. That pretty little price tag sure did reflect the quality of workmanship-but what beautiful pieces of art!!

Hi Again,

A week ago, I neglected to introduce myself. My name is Kristina, and I have had the fantastic opportunity of working as an intern. I am moving up the ladder and plan to become a coordinating stylist for Beauty Revolution. I have found myself fortunate enough to be associated with a team that is made up of wonderful, loving, and hard-working, professional people.

My interests are tangled up in many different loves of unique styles. Giving "umph" to every piece of clothing or accesory you own will make you feel special. I focus on wearable items that are comforable for any situation, such as sitting in a coffee shop, slaving away on homework - which I am currently doing, but looking stylish while doing it. :-)

My objective for this post is to reveal light and airy pieces for summer, which hopefully will allow you to take the ideas and make them your own!

About Us:

Magazine founders Susan Alveshere and Janaéa Riddle are on the Fashion Group International Director Board (Regional), a global, not-for-profit industry alliance started by Edna Woolman Chase, Editor-in-Chief of Vogue and founding members Eleanor Roosevelt, Elizabeth Arden, and Margaret Case among others.

Alveshere also is an internationally acclaimed artist, designer and writer while Riddle formerly served as associate publisher for Today’s Seattle Woman Newspaper.

A talented group of writers including four time Emmy nominated Lori Ann Robinson from Los Angeles and well known fashion forecaster Sarah Davies (formally Fashion Director of Nordstrom). We also feature internationally acclaimed textile expect Patricia Nugent along with well known stylist and author Barbara Camp who brings in the wonderful culture from her years in Europe and the flavor of New York, where she now resides.

Managing Editor Sharon Altaras formerly covered business at award winning Washington CEO Magazine. We also have an excellent TEAM of individuals which include editor, journalists, business expects, graphic designers, photographers, makeup artists, and stylists that round out the beauty revolution TEAM.
